Flannery Freund, Co-Owner
Flannery first arrived to the North Fork in 2009, where she served as the co-owner and head baker at the historic Polebridge Mercantile. She left in 2014 and started a bakery in Livingston, Montana, called the Livingston Bodega and Bakery. After a few years she returned back to Polebridge to become a ranger for Glacier National Park where she learned the nooks and crannies of the North Fork area. Ultimately, she couldn’t not bake, so she laid down her ranger hat and pickle suit and strapped her apron on to get back to playing with fruit and sugar and butter and flour. Not only does Flannery tout her famous baking skills (which you’ll see first hand when you try a slice of Home Ranch Bottom’s pies), but she is also a committed conservationist, and serves as the president of the North Fork Preservation Association as well as on the board of the Flathead Rivers Alliance.
Danny Freund, Co-Owner
Danny discovered Polebridge on a late summer backpacking trip to Glacier in 1997, unintentionally passing by on his way to camp. He bought a cabin in ‘98 and, as a touring musician, scheduled all of his tours “through” Polebridge since then. Danny is a singer/songwriter and sound engineer and has travelled across the country as a solo act as well as with his bands: The Bus Driver Tour, The 7 Smart Fellers and The Polebridge Electric Company. At Home Ranch Bottoms you’ll find him twisting his nobs to create an inspiring sonic experience for the artists and performers that land on our stage. This tends to translate the airwaves of our beer garden into a colorful, otherworldly vibe for the guests of HRB. Danny is also the founder of the HRB Smash Burger (you might have heard about it). This gift to all of us comes from his St. Louis roots.
