Nick Spear
Nick Spear never really fit in with the other kids. Hiding from the San Diego sun in the shade of suburban living rooms, putting on eyeliner and binge-listening to the back catalogs of bands like The Smiths, The Cure, and Bauhaus, Nick longed for colder climes, far from the never-ending sprawl of identical houses and beach party culture.

Tin Finley
Like some alchemy, Montana-based band, Tin Finley, pull from their individual stories and artistic points of view and emerge with a unified sound bridging ethereal folk and something entirely their own-blending traditional folk instrumentation with synths, modern storytelling, and lush, soaring harmonies.
Annette Strean, Kirk Cornelius, Eric Hogenson and Kati O’Toole come together to create an intimate musical environment. Each song is a glimpse into stories of love, loss, mental health and the winding road of the human experience.
With every show, they deliver on the reputation of their intimate live performances inviting their audience to join them in experiencing the transformative power of music-to get lost together.

The Montvales
“Addressing issues ranging from self-determination to money, (Born Strangers) is also infused with opinions on gender. According to both performers, music allows each to express deeply-held beliefs – such as thoughts on reproductive freedom – in a way they believe might be more unrestrained and effective than what other communication methods might allow. This freedom to express a range of beliefs – popular, unpopular, controversial, mundane, weird, hyper-personal, or anything in between – lures many to make a life of music. The power of this isn’t lost on The Montvales…It’s something some of their musical heroes understood well, acts such as The Indigo Girls and The Chicks. The Montvales clearly aim to be just as forthright.”
—The Bluegrass Standard
